MAN marine engines

We supply spare parts across the MAN marine engine range. MAN rates its marine diesels by duty class, light, medium and heavy, according to how many hours a year they run and how hard they work. Find your engine below, then send us the model and serial number and we'll match the right parts.

Engine range by duty class

MAN classifies each marine engine by how it will be used. As a rough guide: light duty, up to ~1,000 running hours a year, full load no more than ~20% of the time (yachts, leisure); medium duty, up to ~3,000 hours a year, full load up to ~50% of the time (commercial craft in intermittent service); heavy duty, unlimited hours, up to continuous full load (hard-working commercial vessels).

Workboat & commercial engines, medium & heavy duty

The core of what we do. These D-Series engines are built for continuous commercial service and are MAN's current workboat line.

Legacy MAN D-Series we still supply

Much of our business is keeping older MAN D-Series diesels running long after they have left the current sales line-up. Alongside the engines above, we regularly source parts for earlier D-Series families, including:

  • D2866 and D2876, the classic inline-6 workboat engines
  • D2842, D2848 and D2840, the earlier V-engine families
  • D0824, D0826 and D0836, the smaller inline D08 series
  • D3872 and other legacy units, sourced on request

Gensets & auxiliary power

Many of these high-speed D-Series engines also drive marine gensets and auxiliary power sets, running at constant speed, these versions usually carry an LE2xx suffix. We supply parts for the common genset variants:

  • D2840, LE201, LE203, LE213
  • D2842, LE201, LE203, LE213, LE223
  • D2848, LE213
  • D2866, LE201, LE203
  • D2876, LE201, LE203
  • D0826 (e.g. LE40, ~180 hp) and D0836, smaller inline D08 series

If your engine isn't listed, or you're working from a builder variant such as DEMP or Lindenberg, send us the details and we'll identify the right parts.

Tell us your engine. We'll match the parts.

Send the MAN model and serial number, or a part number, and we'll confirm the right parts fast.
