About this reconditioned crankshaft
This is a remanufactured genuine MAN crankshaft, not an aftermarket rebuild. The core is stripped and inspected, the journals are reground and polished to standard sizes, the shaft is crack-tested and rebalanced, and it is rebuilt to MAN's original specification. That work restores the bearing surfaces and balance a crankshaft depends on for oil-film pressure and smooth running.
Because it is factory-remanufactured, it carries the official MAN 2-year warranty, the same as a new crankshaft, and it is supplied on an exchange basis. A refundable core surcharge is added at purchase and returned in full once you send your old crankshaft back, provided the core is complete and rebuildable. Your net cost is the exchange price, usually well below a brand-new unit.
