About this reconditioned turbocharger
This is a remanufactured genuine MAN unit, not an aftermarket rebuild. It has been stripped, inspected and rebuilt to MAN's original specification with genuine parts, then balanced to factory tolerances. Balancing is what matters most on a turbocharger, because a rotor spinning at well over a hundred thousand revolutions a minute will destroy itself and its bearings if it is even slightly out.
It carries the official MAN warranty of 2 years, the same as a new unit, and is supplied on an exchange basis. A refundable core surcharge is added at purchase and returned in full once you send your old turbo back, provided the core is complete and rebuildable.

One caution. Most turbochargers do not fail on their own. They fail because of oil starvation, oil contamination, or debris coming through from somewhere else in the engine. Before fitting this unit, find out what killed the old one, change the oil and filters, check the oil feed and drain lines are clear, and make sure no debris remains in the intake or exhaust. A reconditioned turbo fitted to the cause of the last failure will simply fail again.
